Intrigued by the fact that the company that makes my powdered beverages of choice also makes bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Easily the most unusual product lineup I’ve seen since BIC. www.4c.com

The is a perennial problem with the internet. People afraid to post their opinion (they agree with the times trying to force Biden out) so they couch it in “can some one explain like I’m 2 years old” They always react with anger that you point out they’re dumb or lying.

When you're producing a product and people misuse it, if you don't take steps to correct that misuse then you're co-signing on it. You can't "not my problem" out of that situation. If you're aware of it, and you don't care, the distinction between endorsement and apathy is meaningless.

Hey, everyone who keeps downplaying the role of media framing, you know we can *literally* measure this happening, right? Your denialism doesn't make it go away, and you aren't smart enough to somehow evade it.
"Results indicated both news formats (narrative vs. informational) and frames (environmental vs. economic) had significant immediate effects on issue attitudes and other responses; narrative environmental news had a significantly greater impact than informational environmental news." #CommSky
Stories that Count: Influence of News Narratives on Issue Attitudes - Fuyuan Shen, Lee Ahern, Michelle Baker, 2014doi.org This paper examines the impact of using narratives to frame a political issue on individuals’ attitudes. In an experiment, we asked participants to read either ...

I hate Threads, I don’t want to post there. People are putting on BS engagement acts there for weak engagement and acting butthurt the second they get called on it

IMHO: Own your list. Social networks leverage temporary engagement for short-term growth, then rugpull in favor of paid distribution. It gradually forces creatives to work harder for less. It’s less likely to happen with email or RSS. So own your blog, and own your email list.
Hey, so. I understand that this is anecdotal and not research, but. It is WILD how useless social media has become for promo. It's a fucking disgrace, really.

It’s like these people don’t understand that most people would struggle with speaking in front of a crowd, no matter the age
Now everyone--The Times and, sorry to say, MSNBC--is noting every missed syllable. The man has a stutter. I don't stutter but I am a mushmouth who speaks too fast and slurs words. I've had to overcome fear of public speaking. I have empathy for Biden. The press has empathy for no one (but Trump).

I need to write the whole piece about this, but the thing to understand is that the NYT is now just Facebook. The platform dictates narrative to normies, is totally gamed by the right, and is still so ubiquitous as to be unavoidable even by those who see how broken it is. It's just Facebook.
