I just finished this and it made me think of your last book. A different kind of Boy's Weekend. It was really good and a shame the movie eclipsed it in the cultural memory.
We got this at the lit fest like 15 years ago and neither of us actually read it. But what I didn't realize was that Dickey was a poet and literary author. Fifty pages in and it's pretty good. What's even more interesting to me is that nowhere does the cover mention that it was made into a movie.
