I'd believe it. The amount of "We saw a ghost!" videos on youtube and it's suburban kids spending their first night in the woods and astounded animals walking through leaves sounds kind of like people and that bobcats and foxes have scary screams... "That is NO animal" means... was animal.

Literally people seeing a brown/black furred bear on hind legs through branches/vegetation and deciding it must be a big ape. Bears and many other 4 legged mammals rear up or even walk on their hind legs occasionally or something. Drunk/stupid does the rest. This makes a lot of sense hearing it.

So Bigfoot likes living near black bears!😉
