Thanks. In therapy and married to a loving partner now who had similar experiences growing up. We take emotional health very seriously with our kids so hopefully they’ll do better in life than we have.

My folks were passive-aggressive and would also give the silent treatment to each other. But then they would use the kids to fight. “Tell your dad I said X” and “Tell your mom I said Y.” I was constantly worried as a kid.

I grew up very poor.

Sirens went off twice tonight for a fairly routine thunderstorm. All the non-locals are happy with the alert. All the locals are like “Well that was Grade A Bull shit.”

This is my baby boy. He’s about to turn 21 and is 6’9. I suggested a haircut, but he goes to college in MN where hockey flow hair is king. He volunteered to help his aunt prepare her house for sale. He’s such a good egg.

G dropped H off at a 2 week music camp in Door County and now G is visiting his dad in Waukesha. E is in Peoria helping my sister prep her house for sale. I took today off. M is hiding in her room.

Wish someone’s mom would make me a tater tot casserole.

Taking a day off. Made myself toast with ham and a fried egg on top and it was perfect.

3 am. Woke up to a thunder storm. Lots of lightning. Craving bacon and eggs.

High school reunion this weekend. Had trapped myself in the “no one will notice if I’m not there “ headspace, but got pummeled by a girlfriend group chat tonight.

Feeling joy just to spite those motherfuckers is one of my main hobbies. They want me so exhausted and distressed I can't fight them. They don't get to have that. Fuck 'em.

My hot take is the park district really should have closed the tennis/pickleball courts during the chamber orchestra concert on the lawn at Hessel Park. That’s all I’ll be saying at this time.
