As an aside, I've been sharing this excerpt from the NPR story about the French election. I already have people in my mentions saying, "See, more moderates yielded to the far left and look what happened!" Even today as we have something to give us hope all some people can see is division.
As always, the Perfect Candidate is the one that the media/GOP has not had their focus on for more than two weeks, which is why these replacements always flame out in two weeks like no-preservatives bread
And the notion that the media & the GOP aren’t just going to *immediately* pivot to ratfucking this magical being in exactly the same way they’re doing to Biden (& have already referenced doing to Harris) is the naive reasoning of a child.
Nobody proposing this is thinking it thru realistically.
But hoo boy...once The Perfect Candidate™️ is nominated it will be a fire hose of stories about every detail of their past that will make them sound sketchy. Because that gets clicks.
Especially if The Perfect Candidate has ever engaged in toxic behaviors like dating, going to college, existing in society, and/or changing their mind about anything ever.
That waiter who thought they were rude 15 years ago? Front page of the New York Times. Their classmate who saw them ripping bong hits? Every Sunday morning news show. What's that, speeding tickets? What does that tell us about their judgment. Etc., ad nauseum
