My cat says thanks for her food by nudging my hand when I put it down in front of her. I know it's thanks and not an accidental by-product of trying to get at the food because she won't eat until and unless she has thonked her little snoot into my knuckles. She'll follow me out of the room to do it.
Squoof goes and sits in the bathroom when she thinks it’s time for me to get ready for bed. If I don’t follow her quickly enough she comes back out to glare at me and goes back in.
One night I was watching a movie and was very late going to bed and I found her asleep on the bathmat.
One of our cats bunts my hand when I put down her food and it’s the cutest thing. She’ll also get distracted from her food if we leave the room and start doing something, we often have to guide her back to it and pet her so she finishes eating. She wants us to be there with her when she eats 😂
Mine both just scream at me in their weird, quiet meows as the food plates are lowered to the floor in front of them. Then they ungraciously stuff their little faces. 🙂
She is just such a nice cat. Sweet-tempered, mellow, shy, gentle, nice-mannered, affectionate, and every once in a while an absolute chaos muppet gremlin, because she is still and after all a cat.
