I've had a good run, if this is as far as I get it was still a good time. But I'd like to keep going. There's stuff I haven't even had time to start yet.
A few years ago, I was making about $2k more a month than I was now. It made a big difference! Now everything costs more, I have a mountain of medical-related debt and I have kids entering college and I don't have a lot of time left. I have to figure out something.
I don't know if it's possible to get a thousand new patrons, It seems unlikely. But it also seems like it's a last-ditch effort worth trying. Again, please, I could use your support.

hey, jon. i haven't read goats for... like, ever, but i used to read it religiously. i'm going to pick up more of your stuff. i just made a stupid financial decision on your behalf and intend to commit to it until i look at my bank account, think, 'why the fuck is that bill so high,' and fix it.
i have wasted way more money on shit i have liked way less than your comics career and encourage anyone who knows that they have gotten more value for money than the ads they've clicked to not let one more thing they liked get snuffed out for no reason.

I'm fine! I just need to get my income back to where it was so we're not hemorrhaging money anymore or I have to get a job and stop making comics. One of those. I'd prefer to keep making comics.
Crazy thought here but have any of us considered retconning our storylines to make us all independently wealthy from birth? I’ve done some back-of-envelope numbers and it seems like it would solve a lot of issues in our community
Happy to help! Me and the Mrs. are panicking a wee bit about our baby boy heading off into the big, bad world and it feels good to help someone else through it a bit.
I do wish more folks would do $1 or $2 /month Patreon tiers with no extras. I can’t afford the price of what’s basically a streaming service for stuff I may or may not even have time to read, but I’d love to give more people a li’l support.
