Beat in mind that shitty people control the access to make creative works, and tend to likewise promote and provide opportunities for people as bad as they are, so it’s near impossible to not end up consuming work made by shitty people - and to enjoy that work out of limited options available.

The fact that they website eventually said "He stopped responding because the attention vanished" is the biggest thing. Like they were willing to work WITH him. He could have grown and fixed things.

transmet is my problematic fave because darick put as much of himself into it as warren did and afaik that dude is still excellent certainly took the shine off the dynamic between spider and his assistants when you realize it's autobiographical instead of critical tho like louis ck's work

God, this STILL hurts. Transmet informed so much of my early 20s and finding out Ellis is a titanic creep just *sucks*. I will say, rereading Transmet in recent years makes it seem almost quaint compared to the creatures we deal with daily now.
