Look, no one is ever going to accuse me of “emotional intelligence” or any other kind of “people skills”, and even *I* could see what was being (un)said.
As an aside my first wife (Harvard MBA) was the first to tell me about the 'H' Bomb. She literally laughs at people who throw that out as their argument.
When I was a graduate student in Canada several of my classmates who were McGill grads, apparently alarmed by the number of Americans in the program who were not overawed by them, would tell us they were graduates of "McGill University, the Harvard of Canada" as if it was the school's full title 🤣
A friend has a funny story about his surgeon who hedged about his MIT/Harvard education as "schools in Massachusetts." It's ok to tell someone where you went to school when you are going to cut them open with a scalpel.
