No one said it was their fault. But many elected Dems will take the same course as the dissenters on the bench (which is saying words, however “fiery”, and a distinct lack of meaningful action)
They can demonstrate the severity of the situation and do something useful beyond the perview of their jobs (just as we’re expected to do): talk to press; talk to voters; make statements at Congress; appeal directly to the president, etc
Write a dissent that just says, “This is a fucking coup. This is literally a coup and my colleagues in the majority need to be impeached and removed before our country loses democracy itself.”
