The impotent 'dissents' by the Liberals on the court portend what to expect by the Democratic party.

It's not their fault that their dissent is impotent.

No one said it was their fault. But many elected Dems will take the same course as the dissenters on the bench (which is saying words, however “fiery”, and a distinct lack of meaningful action)

What, exactly, would you prescribe as far as action beyond *checks notes* doing their job?

I refer to both SC dissenters and elected Dems in my post. Which group are you asking about?

They can demonstrate the severity of the situation and do something useful beyond the perview of their jobs (just as we’re expected to do): talk to press; talk to voters; make statements at Congress; appeal directly to the president, etc

All of that would be nice, but a dissenting opinion is where it begins.
