🚨Parent being blamed because baby wakes in night klaxon🚨
This time it's apparently because *checks notes* the parent is not playing with the child enough, or there's tension in the house. Not just, you know, because the baby is doing something completely developmentally appropriate (although tough!)
A friend of ours went missing a few years ago and it was quite high publicity. The number of Facebook 'experts' who were convinced her partner (our friend) had killed her and kept telling him so made me feel quite murderous.
He was 100 miles away when she went missing and walked thousands of miles over months to try to find her but some random watched a Netflix documentary on a missing person's case once so definitely knew better than two national police forces

That's so awful and sad, I'm sorry. And people actively making it worse. The Nicola Bulley case was similar, her husband was being accused of all sorts.
My eldest eventually slept through in his own bed at four and a half. Years, that is. Still waiting for the magic day with littlest 😀 I'll call social services because it's evidently because I'm a terribly negligent parent.
It got better when I started letting him sleep in our bed, which everyone told us not to do. But it was actually a case of survival by that point. And we got there in the end, so I keep telling myself we'll get there with little one too. One day....
