Because I didn't book an appointment 6 months in advance, I had to renew my Texas drivers license in New Braunfels today. And I was lucky they had same day appointments open. Wasn't a big problem for ME to go that far out of the way, but I can imagine that being debilitating for plenty of others.

Babes and Bullets doesn't really work as a Garfield special. No Odie? Boo! My Grandpa is a Vampire kinda sucks, but it's Al Lewis doing Grandpa Munster, so it's hard to hate. Arcadian has a neat monster design, not enough Nic Cage, and not much else worth talking about. Longlegs. Yeesh.

I'm home on a Last Drive-In Friday night, so it looks like I'm watching Dr. Giggles. Larry Drake's giggling sounds like one of my cats when he's looking out the window at a squirrel.

Beekeeper is fun, goofy revenge porn. Streamers aren't something I grok, but I was amused by Chad Gets the Axe. The Despicable Me movies barely qualify as movies. The Mega Minions were cute, though. My Summer as a Goth is a Hallmark movie with more mascara. Tubi trash.

The One and Only Genuine Family Band is thr absolute worst musical I've ever seen. Music should be outlawed because of it. The Wizard is the pinnacle of late 80s/early 90s cultural banality. Forrest Gump is abelist trash. The Lodge makes nihilism look hopeful. Worst movie I've ever seen.

Call me naive, but at least we used to lie about our leaders being subject to the same laws as the rest of us, rather than enshrining their superiority with official edicts.

I think going to see the Quiet Place prequel tonight is a more sound and practical political statement tonight compared to the main alternative.

Suicide Squad Isekai's 3rd episode is a good deal better than the first two, since it looks to be settling into what is actually wants to do. Also, the end credits with Amanda Waller dancing to a Mori Calliope song is definitely something.

Suicide Squad Isekai is kinda whatever so far, but Harley calling Joker "Pudding-chan" is amusing. But yeah, considering how good Birds of Prey, the 2nd Suicide Squad movie, Peacemaker, AND the Harley Quinn series were, this has a lot to live up to. Being a kinda generic Gate-like isekai ain't it.

With the new Ranma news I'm hearing a lot of good things about the Urusei Yatsura remake. The first couple of episodes of that really felt off comedy/timing-wise, so I didn't keep up. Sounds like I should give it another go then.

Not necessarily my top four, but they are some of my all-time favorite things and paint a good picture of what I dig.

Alright, cool, I'm alright with watching Donnie Darko once every 20 years. Like, it's GOOD. But this hits too close to home for 17 year old me. I'm so glad this didn't come out until I was well into my 20s. Seeing this at the right age would've made me even more insufferable.

I'm nerd mad about half the Season 2 Street Fighter characters being Fatal Fury guests. I'm even more nerd mad about them already resurrecting Bison after his "defeat" in SF5. But you're cool, Elena. Shame we have to wait until next year to get you.
