At this TX bus station in 1961 there was an unconfirmed sighting of cartoonist Pep Shepard, who had disappeared 10 years before. A transient man drew a character he called “Kid Maroon” on 9-yr-old Gil Benson’s bus ticket. The ticket was lost. Benson later vanished in the Bermuda Triangle in 1984.
