Gaaaah!! Who wants to do me a SOLID and will come over to slap me on the knuckles all day long? My tattoos are healing and in the “itchy phase” and are driving me BANANAS. 😵💫

It’s a natural part of the healing process for tattoos, most people can use a heavy moisture barrier ointment and it helps quite a bit. I have extremely reactive & sensitive skin so I add 4% topical lidocaine lotion before the moisture & it helps a lot. I just have to wait until after finishing my

do you use moisturizer on your tattoos at all? that might help calm the itch if you don’t
Yep I use a ton of a moisturizer. They’re itching because they’re in the healing/scab shedding stage where it’s normal. I’m doing some chores around the house right now but when I finish I’m going use some lidocaine on them. I posted the pic a couple days ago in my TL should be in my media tab. 😎

maybe i’ve just been real lucky because none of my tattoos have really itched - and when they do a bit of lotion usually cleared it up for a while. *hopefully* my knuckles won’t give me trouble
Oh, knuckle rolling a coin? I can do that. Doesn’t help. The sting from a proper slap? That helps an itchy tattoo without damaging it by scratching it with your nails or rubbing it too hard.
I’m eventually just going to use topical lidocaine lotion on them. But I’m waiting until after I finish my chores because I’m washing my hands a lot. Hahaha.
I had this phase for like 3 months on my shoulder tattoo because I foolishly got it done half over nerve damage
