This issue is not Biden's ability to govern but his ability to get elected. Do not confuse the two. Hillary would have made a great president but she proved unable to win the election. Same deal here. Biden must withdraw before it's too late.
Nikki Haley kept getting a substantial number of primary voters even after she dropped out. Those voters don't want Trump. Plus Trump consistently underperformed the polls in the primaries. Also IF Biden dropped out Trump could browbeat anyone who replaces him with that throughout the campaign.
