We've now reached the point in Silicon Valley real estate silliness where top properties in my zip code have property tax higher than what I pay in mortgage plus property tax combined. Whoever is buying these homes has got to be absolutely loaded just to survive.

My favorite part of 4th of July every year is watching the fireworks celebrations go around the globe, starting in Australia, through Asia, then Europe, before coming back to the US.

This is a tremendous loss for the baseball community. Arguably the best player who ever played the game, and always in the conversation. Baseball flags at half mast.
