Pretty significant lack of definition for "conceals identity." Especially considering their horrifying dystopian software can identify most individuals from only the eyes, but you KNOW this is mostly going to be invoked against n95s.

If they are serious about this they should also ban Sunglasses, Hats, and Scarves.

Double masker here 😷 the second mask is Hanes silly fabric they churned out quickly in 2020. It provides good seal for the kn95. Still covid free 💪

FWIW I’ve read that it’s not a great idea to layer N95 masks: you can run the risk of inactivating their static ionization and making them LESS effective than if you were only wearing one. If you want more protection, maybe consider upgrading to an N99, N100, or FFP3?

Have you looked into the envo mask or flomask? These might be good options for you too (higher upfront cost, but you just have to pay for the filters thereafter)

I would seriously consider a gas mask if I was you. Double 95’s just doesn’t seem practical. I know it would elicit stares though. Have you checked with a doc about this?

I think double masking actually reduces a respirator’s effectiveness since it reduces airflow through the filter and makes it more likely for air to flow through any small gaps in the seal, especially around the nose.

I can’t speak to that since I just don’t know. But if an N-95 is properly worn, it has a good seal, but it’s just uncomfortable and hot.

Well, actually, if you must know, I don’t do the ear loops on the inside one. It’s just an extra layer. Because I know about the inconsistencies wrt air handling: Just an extra layer. Still novid. And grateful.

Double 95s are fine. I wear them at church during Christmas and Easter season because I’m allergic to the incense used at those times. It’s not fun, but I can breathe better than if I were more exposed to the incense.

Yes. I wear a single every time I’m out of the house. But that doesn’t protect against strong incense. I need two for that.

civil liberties of us all we all have a 1st amendment right to the freedom of expression and we all have a 4th amendment right to privacy these are inalienable and can only be removed by the state with violence there is no expectation of privacy in public so it is on the individual to exercise
