So a cop from out of town killed a homeless black man. That isn't murder?

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel confirms that a Columbus, Ohio, police officer detailed to the RNC shot and killed a homeless Black man (earlier reported to be in his early 20s) more than half a mile from the RNC arena. The man was known by the nickname Jehovah and took care of a pit bull named Isis.

While we're talking copyright, I feel like a lot of people don't get that it's not just who to pay if you use an art, it's IF you can use it AT ALL. Every time RATM tells a republican who wants to play their stuff at a rally to go fuck themselves, it was copyright that let them do that.

If you don't know about @chronicloaf.bsky.social, it's an ongoing online entertainment space for Disabled people to hang out and watch TV shows/movies with other Disabled folks. It's been helpful to lots of people over the years, but it's not getting much traction here. And this is part of why.

I have said many times that my brain can't do it and I need someone else to help. I've said many times that I'm open to anyone who would like to offer to help. I really only have one person who offers and they do it when they can 🤷‍♀️

It is more anti-capitalist to buy directly from musicians and writers and farmers than to steal and pirate or go to the grocery chain or shop on amazon. Make choices that build solidarity. Stop ruining relationships with people who would otherwise agree with you but now won't support you at all.
