I personally would love to have an old wooden resort rowing/fishing boat, suitable for a 10hp motor, to try to restore during a couple winters, and I know where there's a shed full of them. Time and initiative, though ...
We had a couple of these in my grandfather’s day. They are gorgeous and dreamy at speed, but pretty heavy. My dad kept patching the last one as it rotted out from under him—loving restoration is not his primary game
The ones I remember were narrow enough to row well, so they didn't have the beamy stability of today's small motorboats. One had to sit in trim more.
But they weren't clangy when you moved a tackle box or your feet, or dropped something.
