Finally read this. The context for the slur makes it entirely believable. But the rest is just as awful. NBC knowingly resurrected a washed up, racist, misogynist, parasitic con man, and presented him to the country as a brilliant, cutting-edge businessman. It felt dirty just reading it.

The fact that every mainstream news site is now locked behind a paywall is a real boon for the spread of misinformation, because very few right wing sites have paywalls — which means their disinfo and propaganda can spread much more easily. Paywalls are a slow motion disaster.

Dear Americans, Other countries exist. They have relationships and interact with each other. When things happen, the reason's often regional/local. Iran and Israel have fought a shadow war for years. The world isn't a reality show with POTUS as main character, where every action is a reaction to him

I watch PBS’s Nova religiously and learned last night that Oxford has developed a new vaccine for malaria that has 70-80% efficacy and it just got approved by the WHO and will save millions of lives in the years to come. Sharing some good news bc it tends to get lost out there.
