A little light birthday reading: Bonhoeffer’s “Creation and Fall: A Theological Interpretation of Genesis 1-3” and “Temptation”. Just over 100 pages. Glad I found it on the free table when I worked at a theological library years ago! ⚓️
Blessed feast day of my favorite mystic, St. Julian of Norwich! Here’s a poem about her cat from Gail White that’s always stuck with me for some reason. ⚓️
One of my fav early Eastern fathers! Our prayer before class during History of Christianity 1 in seminary was reading some of his Hymns On Paradise; of which this is my favorite.
Hope everyone has had a blessed Easter Sunday! Here were the moments from mine that stood out to me. I hope they might help someone else connect with this season of resurrection! ⚓️
Prayer attributed to St. Francis that I wept reading tonight. “Where there is hatred, let us sow love”. I view this both as a community effort to build loving community but also on a personal level where we meet the hatred in our lives with love in all its forms. ⚓️
Blessed Tuesday After First Sunday after Christmas! Today’s reading from 1 Kings 19 always stands out to me, as well as the inspiring force of Ephesians 4! ⚓️
A blessed Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus! I’m committing myself to being more diligent with the Daily Office these days and what better time to start than this wonderful feast day! ⚓️
Forgot to post here this morning but here were the memorable texts for me this week. We had 11 confirmations and 7 receptions into the Episcopal Church! Praise be!
A blessed Christ the King Sunday to you all! May our Lord God bind up your wounds and strengthen you in your weakness.

On Thursday, I was doing Evening Prayer at work (benefits of a slow job) and came upon Ps. 73 via the 30-day Psalter and it really got to me. I haven’t been a part of TEC for several months due to issues at my last parish and stepping back from the ord process for my health and…I needed this.
