Yes, homemade kimchi can burst jars in a long car trip (I don't recommend!) so I'm sure the pressure change from a plane has caused a lot of trouble!

😲😲😲 I'm just imaging getting to baggage claim and everything smells pickled, even if you didn't pack any kimchi because someone else's broke

😂 Somehow I missed this one! though one time my grandma managed to bring a gallon jar of kimchi on the plane with her in her lap. We have no idea how she got it past TSA. We also said we felt so bad for whoever was sitting next to her - it had quite a strong smell
