Mutual aid because it's the right thing to do, obviously, but what's the point of having leaders when the leaders don't do their jobs?

The fact that so many Gulf Coast residents can't work right now because of power outages only bulwarks my belief that we need a well-regulated UBI as soon as possible. We don't cause these persistent disrupts. Why should we shoulder the economic consequences?

The victories of remote and emerging talent with the Deer Friend dub haven't gone unnoticed and uncelebrated. Unfortunately, hurricane stuff is making it difficult to show you the full love you've all earned/deserve. Please know I have been eagerly rooting for you all the same.

Just so not everything I post today is gloomdoom, if nothing else then hurricanes are a master class in why mutual aid is so powerful. All of my group chats are lighting up with info on where to go and what resources can be shared. We aren't meant to face this world alone.

I woke up this morning wondering if I should just say, "Fuck it" and move to LA. And then I remembered that LA : fire :: Houston : water so it'd just be swapping one cinematic disaster for another.
