In Newfoundland there's a real danger that people will take you literally, send out the search and rescue teams, then when they find you at home watching Netflix in your underwear and eating cereal straight out of the box it'll make the local news.
I have been both in the poison swamp and in the poison swamp. Lived next door to a poison swamp for years. That probably didn't help with the poison swamp problem.
