I think he is really down. He has never had anyone hate him enough to try to kill him. Also the poll numbers are not showing any kind of big bump for him so he is sad that even "taking a bullet" won't get people to like him.

Maybe I actually did drown in Mexico when I was younger but they resuscitated me and unfortunately I had been without oxygen too long and I have just been in a coma for 30 years and my brain is breaking.
