I heard about this COVID summer wave and thought, "It won't be that bad." I clean the isolation rooms at our major hospital and let me tell you, it already feels bad.

Ok, all you "money sucking activists" who support Safe supply 👋 Supervised consumption 👋 Harm reduction 👋 Saving lives 👋 Stand up and be counted. Then, explain to PP that all of this is part of the treatment journey. Treatment can't save those who died before they got there.

On the very last block of the parade, there were protesters for a Free Palestine. They were loud and blocking the road. The parade just dispersed there. I absolutely believe we have to speak up against what's happening to Palestinians, but I will never pit one social justice issue against another.

Home from the parade, and I am hot. I helped to carry the giant Pride flag and use it to play like we used to play with parachutes in school. If you saw the flag, I was the one in the most beautiful tutu.

Who's marching in Pride today? I'm here. I've joined the Rockingham United Church group.

Desiree is an indoor cat, but there are lots of outdoor cats in our neighborhood. Today, there was a cat on our back deck, and Desiree wasn't pleased. She ran down the hall and went right through the screen door to chase that cat away.

Why would you shoot the Sheriff and not shoot the Deputy? You can't leave witnesses. I'm starting to doubt this story.

Was anyone else hoping when they got to work today that their computer would be impacted by the big Microsoft crash, or was that just me? (Mine is working. No excuse to leave. 😟)

OK, women and people with vaginas / vulvas. Nobody else is going to tell you this, but you need to know because it will probably happen to you eventually. Vulvar/vaginal atrophy happens to between 50 and 85% of post-menopausal women. Enjoy your parts while they are young and healthy.

Made it home in under 18 minutes. That's about what it usually takes me to drive home. Not bad at all.

I cycled to work today. I left a little late so there would be less traffic. I made it. Somewhat sweaty but in one piece.

We could use these in NS. These parks could literally save lives.

Montreal's sponge parks, designed in a way to deviate as much rain water as possible away from the sewers, have saved a bunch of areas from flooding due to Beryl's rainfall. So you get really nice parks in a major city, with a bonus against flooding. They're making more of them now and I love it

'Sometimes things don't go, after all, from bad to worse' Thinking a lot about this poem today.

Why am I still so hot even though the AC is on? Could it be because Desiree 🐈 walked across the air conditioner and set it to 23°?

Busy day at Disability Pride and Sunday Supper. I'm hot, tired, and my feet hurt. I'm also thankful for all the volunteers who make these things happen.

HaliSky Today is Disability Pride Day. A day to recognize that people with disabilities contribute to our communities and deserve the same rights as everyone else. Drop by the central library this afternoon to have some fun, meet some cool people, and celebrate with us.
