A school's duty is to the physical, emotional and mental welfare of the child, not to the egos of the child's parents.

My grandfather passed away many years ago, so I have decided to replace "What Would Papa Do?" in my internal moral compass with "What Would @scalzi.com Do?" (We all know Scalzi is human, but the image of him in my imagination is not. That image is pure and upstanding in all things.)
