While I like ‘post’ generically it would be nice to have a term specific to Bluesky. ‘Skeet’ ain’t it. The previous connotations override during it. We should push for ‘Bleet’! Starts with “bl” for Bluesky and rhymes with the term we are all used to.

Fyi, one of the reasons to not use skeet is because of folks in the disability community asking ppl not to co-opt the term for a disease that is under diagnosed and discussed (skeeter syndrome)

I'm not a shitposter and usually amplify disability voices Skeeter Syndrome does effect a lot of ppl and those effected have their own opinions and reasons. Feel free to use the site's search option for deeper research for your own opinions and further dialogue.

“Post” is boring. “Skeet” is fun. But I’m also kind of considering just calling all social media posts “tweets.” Let’s just generic-ize the term, since “X” has apparently abandoned it.

You know what else rolls off the tongue?!? "Sleets". How has my idea NOT caught on by now?!? For one, it sounds catchy. Two, it still sounds dirty if used in the right context, and, for three, it fits with the theme of "Bluesky" (clouds, sky,.....) I mean, how does one "skeet" in the sky, exactly?!?
