The bad part of this joke is how previous presidents just got pardoned by the next one. If we'd hung Nixon out to dry maybe things would be 2% less insane now. (Although that's like saying "if we'd actually stuck with Reconstruction...")

Ashamed to say I don’t remember who wrote “How to Lie with Statistics” or much about its contents specifically—oh, wikipedia tells me it was Darrell Huff in 1954 so I guess I read it in high school in the ’60s— but it seems like this would fit right in.
