Black people, Black women in particular, are the base of the Democratic Party, and that indisputable fact is driving some of you up the WAAALLLL.

Watching the brunchlords go berserk in the Times while Joe rings up the Black Caucus tells you he knows where the power is

when he answered that pool reporters question about “what about maura healy” and he paused, looked her in the eye and said “maura healy didn’t say one word in that room” i knew it was over.

Clyburn is the main reason he's President, and he knows that better than anybody else.

In Pew’s analysis of 2016, 62% of white men and 47% of white women voted for Trump. They had to use an *asterisk* to represent the percentage of black women who voted for Trump because they couldn’t confidently say even 1% did. That’s whose hands the base belongs in.

*yes*, which is weird because a lot of the "believe black women" and "listen to black women" crowd... don't seem to be doing that at all

I’m convinced that these dudes are *terrified* of the possibility that a Black woman could become president That’s why they want Biden out (so he doesn’t become incapacitated in office) but also don’t want Harris (or any other nonwhite person) to be his replacement on the ticket

They are absolutely shitting themselves. A lot of solidarity is conditioned on Black woman, staying in a secondary (or, distant tertiary) role. Not leadership. They want us as the mammies to their movement.

It's infuriating and ignores who actually votes for them, or definitely against the MAGA crowd

Lots of responsibility being placed on Black women's shoulders (including post hoc) without the top-down power/control/authority that should go along with that responsibility.

At the heart of it, some people are as liberal as their options. If I said I was surprised, I'd be lying.

Truth. Just look at school segregation in the “blue” cities.
