I'm no political strategist but seems to me they are intent on bringing back tory voters who voted Reform when really they should go after those who turned to Labour and LibDem. TBF, she's been mentioned as a possible leader for several years so shouldn't be a surprise and she is popular amongst MPs

I've been saying this for years: UK will rejoin the single market but they will call it by another name to confuse the leavers. How about a mutual customs arrangement and standards alignement deal? The case for FOM can be made.

There's a queue of undeserving peers and I agree only, that honours shouldn't mean automatic entry into the legislative. In France (there are other examples) being chevalier de la lΓ©gion d'honneur doesn't mean you can make laws That bit is absurd

We do need to remember that when I was a child, we produced food for 3 billion people. We are now 8 billion, that may have an impact. To be honest, last couple of years my sister has been complaining about Spanish grown produce:"c'est de la merde" she says. So, maybe not confined to UK.
