Importantly there is a setting in the official app that *forces* you to add alt text before you post your images. Turn it on.

Yall I've noticed a huge drop in alt-text usage for images popping up on my feed. Please use alt text to: - include vision impaired people - include people with bad connections - get better engagement since more people can access your posts and many folks don't reskeet images lacking alt text
