What I thought was revisions was a full rewrite of this old story. I feel like this is going to be the case with most of my old stories and ideas.

Writing a retelling of an older novel is very helpful because there is a plot and elements that exist there so I don't have to struggle with the age old question of "what do i do next" Admittedly I don't think that moby dick had cannibalism but, y'know, we can jazz it up a bit

I didn't respond to it on twitter or here at the time but I sure as shit won't be supporting Gaiman anymore. It's impossible to separate art from artist, and why would I support an artist who has hurt vulnerable women who trusted, believed in, most likely admired him?

I have 14 different WIPs open so that 1) I can bounce between them 2) Docs loads them all for offline because I have a lot of flying to do next week.

This goes for TTRPGs too! Small and mid-tier publishers have very little budget for marketing and advertising, and can’t make game stores promote their books. If nobody you know has heard of your favorite game, tell them about it!

A conversation on our Discord has prompted me to say again: remember, y'all, what really sells books is not the author talking about their work, but *readers* talking about it. Word of mouth drives far more sales than advertising or any other engine. So if you loved a book, tell your friends!

It's just a little bit weird when you're looking for a creator and it feels like they've nuked their socials?

Not going to lie I'm the person where I love having lots of irons in the fire and things happening. It's fun! It also ends up stressing me out eventually but I told myself, we do a little bit at a time each day so that it doesn't all go and whack me in the face.

It's surreal and a little enlightening that because of Philippines salaries/standards, even though I'm not that active doing RPGs, what I make with my writing is about half of what I make at my day job. Not including taxes and what I have to pay to artists and writers ofc, but still.

I love reading old books because there are no rules. They'll whip song lyrics out straight out of nowhere and you have to sit through it like, yeah, the characters just broke out into song! What are you gonna do about it!
