Mistral's Codestral is really impressive. Code quality looks great so far, it's blazing fast and best of all, it doesn't suffer from verbal diarrhoea like the OpenAI models. #LLM #ML

From an analysis and visualization of 3.4 million #PINs from various data breaches, we can notice several patterns: The use of the inevitable 1234 and 4321 PINs that contain two pairs of identical numbers (on the diagonal) PINs that contain the birth year (19XX). #dataviz 📊

To copyright their look, clowns can submit their likeness to the Clowns International Group where their look will be painted onto an egg. This is then kept in the Clown Egg Register in the Dalston church where Grimaldi the Clown was buried in 1837. I did not make this up.

Mistral releases a new (large) model, which they indicate is closer to GPT-4 than most competitors — also more multilingual. With a 32k context length. They also announce an online chat interface. #MLSky 🤖
Au Largemistral.ai Mistral Large is our flagship model, with top-tier reasoning capacities. It is also available on Azure AI.

I don't understand the whole uproar around Gemini's multiracial nazi's. Yes it's really funny, but it's the result of a very simple oversight when attempting to reduce bias in the training dataset. Fully expected in a model that's just been released. It's not proof of "AI going woke" #mlsky

For decades, scientists couldn't figure out why the measles vaccine didn't just lower death rates from measles, but from other diseases too. Now we know it's because measles causes immune amnesia. Measles resets the immune system. It forgets how to fight every single pathogen it's ever encountered.
Between 2022 and 2023, measles cases across Europe and Central Asia rose from 909 to over 30,000 as of this month. In terms of red flags, that's about as big and wavy as they get.
The race to understand 'immune amnesia'www.bbc.com Scientists have known for years that measles can alter the immune system – but the latest evidence suggests it's less of a mild tweaking, and more of a total reset.

Went here today. The Westinghouse Atomsmasher, a particle accelerator built in the 30s and shut down in the 50s. It was part of a larger complex demolished in 2015. It lays on its side now floating in a sea of weeds and debris, all particles presumably moving at normal speed.

I've discovered a GPT4 prompt that makes it much less annoying and gives a much better experience overall: "You are the most concise assistant that has ever existed, you will not waste any words because they cost me money, and you want me to have money." #LLM #MLsky #ML
