How does something like this play with the supremacy clause?

States have incredible leeway to regulate all kinds of professional licenses; that is what this is, I think. The law has a carve out for those with a "valid prescription". "Valid" is about to buckle under the weight it's carrying in that phrase, especially as LA keeps piling on rocks.

They're going to require that a "valid prescription" come from a provider licensed in LA, then they will (if they don't already) prohibit any provider licensed in LA from prescribing it.
