As I understand it, we are required to provide information about class cancellations when we return to work. So this form is just to break faculty-student solidarity. I am encouraging students not to fill it out. Or may I should tell them to have some *fun* with it...
It’s a little different for us librarians, since we’re 12 month faculty. We were told to report our absences ONLY if explicitly asked to, which would be similar to you being asked to report a canceled class. Either way, hard agree the form is to break solidarity and intimidate us.
