Nonbinary guy (?) in their mid-30s who collects music and loves horror movies. Fuck the police, abolish prisons. Send me your spiritual & free jazz recs. AR/VR/XR/3D software dev. He/they.
If Biden drops out will his replacement be on the ballot in all 50 states or has the registration period passed? I’m seeing mixed things about this and there’s no way Democrats best strategy against Trump is a fucking write-in campaign.
I played Forbidden West before Horizon: Zero Dawn (aside from like 30 minutes of it when it first came out) and one thing that really stands out to me is ZD’s difficulty settings. FW felt like it made frustrating arrow sponges, ZD’s Very Hard emphasizes every mechanic and is actually very rewarding.
If our leaders want to be autocrats it’s only fair that they live with the constant fear of being ousted, exiled, or assassinated. Kinda goes hand in hand with the whole thing. Government exists by the consent of the governed, and that isn’t some idealistic promise for us, it’s a threat to them.
“The president can’t act decisively if he has to worry whether he’s acting legally” uh yeah? Weren’t the same people calling every Obama executive order authoritarian overreach? Not being able to act unilaterally is kind of the whole deal.
The past few weeks of bluesky drama have strengthened my conviction that I will never join a private discord server unless it’s actual real life friends.
The Riven remake is wonderful. I don’t remember much about the original except the world feels accurate, but its approach to puzzle design is amazing. Reminds me of more recent games like Chants of Sennar where the world is the puzzle, not a just bunch of random self-contained logic challenges.
Outside of Horizon Zero Dawn + Forbidden West and Ghost of Tsushima are there any big open world games lately that are actually worth playing? Far Cry 5 & 6 put me to sleep.
Alan Wake 2’s Control DLC is just as good as Control’s Alan Wake DLC and, combined with the Max Payne sequences in the main game, really fills out my favorite shared universe.
You know Nickelback is a Canadian band because he rhymes “sorry” with “story” but it sounds like at some point the producer asked him to give it a more neutral pronunciation.
If your game is designed with online co-op in mind and it isn't an effortless drop-in, drop-out w/ strangers system like Helldivers 2, I'm not going to play it. Way too much effort and planning.
alito took off yesterday because he needed to grind a bunch to level up to beat mohg and unlock the elden ring DLC, and he was absent today because he's engrossed in it. pretty obvious really
I’m a big fan of first wave black metal, I love Bathory so much that my 10yo cat gets excited when I put them on because it used to mean I was home from work. But, by my estimate Two Hunters by Wolves in the Throne Room is one of the best black metal records of all time. Perfect start to finish.
