Time to try and nap, since I didn't sleep last night so much as drift restlessly in and out of disjointed pseudo-dreams. I do not sleep well in the heat.

I've built my own PCs ever since a high school friend's dad taught me how. I'm good at getting what I need out of a budget. For years I've run my OS on a 128g SSD, and used a larger hhd for programs and media, but more and more things don't let you do that, or put files on the OS drive anyway.

Something was broken, but it meant I got to dust off my tech tinkering skills, and those still work, so now the thing is fixed (enough,) and that felt nice.

wth am I suddenly getting a whole bunch of follows from old white guys with 0 posts 0 followers? No offense, but I'm not a "starter pack" kind of account, and those kinds of follows get blocked since block-unblocking to remove a follower isn't a thing here.

Happy #primeweek! I just want to let y’all know that the Amazon shipping warehouse where my husband works is denying workers fans during a nationally recognized heat emergency and everything you order during time week places workers’ lives at risk.

Seriously, what an I supposed to do? What are people doing? Do you have community support in your efforts to keep well? Do you have community support for when you get sick? Do you have the personal money to make up for not? What am I missing here. Other people have kids. What are you doing?

How to am I supposed to raise these kids rn. 😰 How is anyone. I sincerely don't know what to do.

These skorts are now both available for pre-order! Please share! I need to sell 65+ of them so I can make them a reality. We're 1/3 way there. Otherwise I'll have to refund people. They are Skorts (A skirt with shorts underneath) with garter straps to hold the socks up. Which one are you getting?

This variable disability thing means it can be hard to tell if any particular treatment or exercise is helping or hurting, but I do think that after the latest thing the doc did, I am having higher highs, if not more good days overall. Just took a standing shower for the first time in a long while.

Without changing a person's underlying mainstream default ableist attitudes about Disabled people, the awareness that one could join the ranks of those who are less valuable and less worth good treatment works to stimulate fear and loathing toward that group now, rather than compassion.

Feeling a little sorry for myself in this heat misery, not gonna lie. Today was supposed to be my belated b-day celebration, that got delayed for very good reasons, but we somehow always end up broke and miserable this time of year. It's just been hard. I just wanted cake and board games.

They say they have fixed our AC. It is still 85 degrees in here and climbing. I think they have not, in fact, fixed our AC.

Haven't slept a wink. We're in the middle of the heat bubble over the east coast rn and the ac stopped working. Apartment sucks so often. They never have the AC ready for summer. Hopefully maintainance can get to us tomorrow, but they're never even staffed for the usual number of emergencies.
