I had to drive out past Tyson’s on route 7 last night for the first time in very many years. Rt. 7 is a six lane highway now? What in the motorized hell is going on out there? And yeah, despite the added lanes, traffic was backed up and it wasn’t even rush hour yet.

Yesterday's low held, making it seven days 80 or higher for lows this year in DC. Ties the record with 2016 and 2011 for most in a year. Today only got to 83 but rain better chance later so we shall see. #dcwx

Like a harbinger of doom, Liz Truss has arrived at the RNC.

Neighborhood food day in the heat. It was my first time at el Chilango. Have been intermediated by the hill back home so why not wander down there on a 101° day? They’re super nice. Insisted I pay after I ate. Tacos were outstanding. Fantasticks pistachio was decent but not great.

Did it get any better outside? Can/should I get tacos and ice cream?
