Water temp is about 83 in the Washington Channel and 87 at Little Falls... so even with lower dew points it's hard to fall super far right near the water.

Redding reached 119 Saturday, setting a new all-time record after tying with 118 Friday. Ukiah tied all-time with 117. Some others, too! In addition to numerous daily records. Death Valley 128 with a low of 100. #cawx #nvwx

DC kept its second 80-plus low of the year yesterday. Looks like we remained at or above this morning, as well, so could be #3 if it holds all day. Next three nights are forecast to have lows of 80. If that should happen, we'd already be at third most of any year and one behind the most. #dcwx

Fortunately Beryl slow to reorganize thus far since Mexico. Not super uncommon with big storms that are heavily disrupted... more than warm water needed. But should strengthen into landfall which always tends to overperform the numbers on paper.
