I really don’t think most people realize just how hard the boot will come down if Trump and the Republicans win the election. Most people have never experienced the totalitarian surveillance state with the power to reach into their homes and minds at will they are telling us is their plan.

The PS1 Cyborg Kuro-chan game is cool because the weapons permanently transform when you upgrade them, so it's not just more/stronger projectiles or whatever For instance, a Molotov cocktail eventually becomes a massive bazooka and a revolver turns into a big shotgun

In France, the left coalition comes in first, Macron second, the far-right third. The best way to defeat fascism is not centrism, it’s a strong left.

Currently contemplating: how this might apply to life in general It's true, I genuinely can't do ANYthing, but there's a lot I think of as beyond me that I actually could do as well as many ppl could. I can get through it. I can handle it and move past it. Some things, I can even learn to do well.
The biggest turning point in you life as an artist is when you shift gears from thinking “I can draw these things but not those things” to thinking “I can draw anything! Quality not guaranteed, but I can draw it”

News out of France today and England earlier is demonstrating that most people, it turns out, aren't very into fascism. Which is a comforting thought.

Comics of the mid-14th century! Here's a straightened-out, lighter version if you wanna check out more details... ( h/t @lizzzs.bsky.social ) I hope most now find it obvious that this is the same art form as the latest X-Men—not an easy sell when I wrote Understanding Comics in 1993.

One of the wildest bits of Urasawa's body of work is how he has a big 100+ chapter epic that will probably never ever get an official English translated release because it is BUCKWILD and it's primary villain is a Nazi who seeks to control ownership over all popular stories Who looks like this

If y'all think I'm ever going to a convention again without a mask you are sorely mistaken. Not only is it protection from COVID, I have been Con Crud-free for years and I am not about to break that streak.
let's post some mask photos bc look at how much stuff i can still do aka in which masking did not stop me from having fun

Artificial scarcity is an existential part of the Republican Party. Convince the working classes they must fight each other for pieces of the needlessly-small pie, while the GOP gets busy cutting taxes & creating new subsidies for billionaires.
