LA. Do a taco crawl: go to at least three different taco places in a row. My favorite (which I took @erikonymous.bsky.social on a few years back) is Mariscos Jalisco > Guerilla Tacos > Carnitas El Momo. Roadside truck, elevated fast-casual, literally someone’s backyard and living room.

That Vance is a direct line to Thiel and Andreessen is truly important. Trump wants their money. Thiel wants to sell billions in Palantir contracts to power Trump’s mass surveillance/ethnic cleansing infrastructure. Pence was the Christian Nationalists’ guy. Vance is reactionary capital’s.

I’d assumed it’d be either Rubio or Vance. I’d also assumed Rubio would help them scoop an additional couple points of Spanish-speaking vote in a few states, but either their polling said that wasn’t true, or they decided he had too much of a vestigial spine of his own, which Vance certainly doesn’t

idk what the right thing to do is but it's pretty telling to me that the people in politics who I respect like AOC and Bernie are saying "we gotta make sure the leaky rowboat doesn't sink" and the people drilling holes in the bottom are like, Scott Peters

Like my feeling since Biden wrapped up the nomination has been that Biden is a leaky rowboat we've all been crammed into, and while being on a leaky rowboat sucks I'm rooting for it not to sink and annoyed at the other people on the boat who are seemingly determined to drill more holes in it.

What do these words even mean in this order, and how do you screw up your life so badly that these words could ever be used to describe events in said life

We lost Michael Zulli today. Beautiful, lyrical, mystical storyteller, he was part of the BW Boom of the 80s with his PUMA BLUES, he drew some gorgeous stuff for SANDMAN, and a startlingly fun book about Alice Cooper. All that’s just for starters. Some people, you think will always be out there.
