It’s not obvious, but this is an Eastern Kingbird. They are incredible aerialists who hunt and catch insects in flight. But sometimes it’s just too easy for them. So this Eastern Kingbird dialed up the difficulty by going after a damselfly while upside down! And caught it!🪶

I will celebrate American Eagle Day! I found this eagle a few days ago with its mate in a huge dead tree next to a cemetery. If nothing else, I will celebrate the rebound in Bald Eagle numbers that affords me the wonderful opportunity to see these guys on a regular basis. #birds 🌿
