Earlier this week, AI company ElevenLabs said it is bringing digitally produced celebrity voice-overs of deceased actors to its newly launched Reader app. The company said the app takes articles, PDF, ePub, newsletters, e-books or any other text on your phone and turns it into voice-overs.

Seems like their should be some IP law liability here that would make this illegal without at least the permission of the deceased's estage?

This is totally fucked up. I’m rooting for the estates to sue and sue aggressively until the very idea of this sort of business is dead dead dead dead dead as the late actors from whom they’re stealing.
