Castlevania Legends on the Game Boy is okay, but I understand why it's a polarizing title. It was released very late in the Game Boy lifespan (1997-98), and the way Sonia Belmont moves is rather slow. Still, Legends isn't as bad as people think it is.

My controversial Metroidvania take: The Belmont clan's legendary 'Vampire Killer' whip could destroy a metroid because they are vampires. But none of Samus Aran's currently known arsenal could kill Dracula.
