UVA and Virginia state police are raiding the Gaza solidarity encampment next to the Rotunda. They literally changed the bylaws, which previously permitted tents, a few hours ago. The encampment had been going quietly for several days.

As both an alum and former staff member of Washington University in St. Louis, I am disgusted by the actions the school administration has taken against protestors. These actions are antithetical to WashU’s dedication to free speech and open discourse.

I can’t believe CNN has Charles Ramsey on to comment on how police should handle protesters. He led the DC police in violating protesters’ civil rights when he was Chief there. The city paid millions and he was held PERSONALLY liable. One of many scandals in his admin. He’s such a scumbag.
