Just returned from the terminally online doomer leftist convention (on discord). It was so beautiful. Hundreds of group chats joining hands to chant "a better world isn't possible" before dissolving into internecine fights about which better world wasn't possible
I feel the same way about 'doomer leftists' much like I feel about tankies, in that I don't think tankies are leftists but are just fascists with a coat of red paint.
'Doomer leftists' aren't actually leftists because being a doomer is in fact incompatible with the ideology.
They're just doomers.
The best is when you inevitably get tarred as a “centrist shitlib” for saying something along the lines of, “hey, since we’re still not actively engaged in revolutionary activity yet, here are some reformist actions we can take in the meantime to try and help staunch the bleeding.”
