One of the reasons I like TOTK so much is Gannondorf is just a raging greedy asshat that needs to be beat down till he’s dead. It’s refreshing.

I got so mad when someone complained that the ending wasn't perfect, and I was like *that's the point*! That's what makes it so great, everyone is flawed and those flaws make the ending flawed amd great. The only perfect character was Becky Apples and she was a nightmare

Same for TOH and the Big Bad literally getting stomped to death by several characters he'd harmed.

That was after he tried to pull a "now that you beat me I'm a good guy again", by the way. Nobody bought it.

The way Bill Cipher went out was also quite satisfying.

As a near lifelong fan of the movie, I have had the idea for a while now that Bakshi's point with that ending was that despots always forget that the terrible changes they force are changes that are bad for them, too. Arming everyone means also arming your enemies. Not a bad gag, either.
