If I plunked down 3 grand for a trip to Thailand and then the couple UP AND SWITCHED VENUES, no way in hell am I spending another 2 for the second one.
I'm still going to Thailand, and I"m enjoying the fucking beaches, have fun getting married.
She’s just lucky she’s not South Asian, or all 150 guests would have shown up and expected her to pick up the tab for all of them. 😂 (Kidding, but only just).
One of my old bosses whose family is from that area started saving for his daughter’s weddings before they were even born. Dropped six figures on each of them.
someone asked me once why the beloved and i didn't have a traditional south asian wedding. i said, i didn't have $200K. like, they're beautiful ceremonies and great parties, and my dad was a public school teacher.
